Sancho took to X (formerly Twitter) to dispute his manager’s explanation, effectively labelling the Dutchman a liar and accusing him of making him a scapegoat.
The United No. 25 refused to apologise for his actions, prompting his exile from Ten Hag’s squad at Carrington before Dortmund offered an escape route in the New Year.
According to the Daily Star, United are confident in boosting their transfer kitty this summer by agreeing a permanent transfer back to the Westfalenstadion.

Dortmund sold Sancho to Old Trafford for £73million three years ago, but he failed to settle back in his homeland and looks set to go down in the history books as one of the club’s most costly flops.
Ratcliffe is said to be ready to cut his losses on the winger but will demand a fee in the region of £45m. United reportedly believe they can shake on a price with Dortmund.
Sancho has admitted he is loving life back in Germany, labelling the Black and Yellows his “home” after providing an assist on his second debut in January.
The report adds that while Dortmund don’t have a buy option in Sancho’s contract, United have internally agreed to give the Bundesliga club first refusal for his signature.
Whether he makes a permanent move will depend on whether BVB agree to splash a club-record fee to match Ratcliffe’s £45m demands.
If not, Sancho likely won’t be short of suitors after rediscovering his form away from United in the second half of the season. However, his £250,000-a-week salary could be a stumbling block.
United are expected to target a new forward this summer. Anthony Martial’s contract expires in July, and he is also set to depart on a free transfer.
Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise has been strongly linked in recent months, but a natural striker who can provide Rasmus Hojlund with competition is viewed as the more likely profile.
